Our Dad died on 23rd of september 1992. He had been diognoised with cancer seven weeks earlier. The last weeks of his life were hard as he was so ill but trish and I tried to make it as good as it could be under the circumstances. Trish would take him out for days. We didnt live in the same town but my husband Les and I and the kids used to go and stay every weekend. We used to spend as much time as we could with him. He was in and out of hospital and was waiting for a bed at the hospice he never got one which was a shame as I think it would of been better for him its more personal. Our dad died on the 23rd of september 1992 surrounded by everyone who loved him Trish and myself and our dads mum and dad who were alive at the time. It was the sadest day of our lives but we were so glad that we were with him right until the end.
